Rascal and Twinsy came to us from a home where there was an overpopulation of cats. The sisters initially had a number of health issues due to the poor living conditions and lack of quality food. After receiving vet care, dentals and quality food and care, their health has improved greatly! Twinsy just received a dental and (sadly) Rascal has lost all her teeth over the years but her mouth health is now healthy! Both will require annual checkups to ensure their health remains strong.
Rascal and Twinsy have shown a great sisterly-bond and will need to be adopted together. They are shy but amazingly sweet kitties. Once they settle in, they will seek out attention and love to follow their human around the house. They adore attention and snuggle time. They have mastered the biscuit-makers dance and can put on quite the show (especially Rascal).
We suspect that these kitties have mild characteristics of CH (Cerebellar Hypoplasia). This is a neurological disorder that only affects their balance and mobility. They do wellwith getting around with a few extra “steps” in places to make it easier to climb. With quality food and care, they can live a long and happy lives!
The sister duo will do best in a quiet home with no young children or dogs. They will need a home that can accommodate for their limitations to make it easier and safe for them to live comfortably. The pair will also require a grain-free canned food diet in their new home to keep their teeth and immune systems strong and healthy – with a few inexpensive immune boosting dietary supplements added to their food…..and of course, lots of TLC and cuddles .
Rascal and Twinsy have been spayed, vaccinated, tested for FeLV/FIV (negative) and microchipped. Their adoption fee is $460 + tax.
